Job Description
HindukushSoft Technologies is seeking a dedicated and creative WordPress Developer to join our in-house team in Chitral. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about web development who want to grow their career by working on real-world projects. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites that are visually appealing, user-friendly, secure, and performance-optimized.
The role also includes custom development, troubleshooting, and active collaboration with other team members such as designers, SEO specialists, and content writers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain responsive WordPress websites for clients and internal projects
- Create and modify themes and plugins according to project specifications
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and plugins when necessary
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness of all websites
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and user experience using best practices
- Identify and troubleshoot bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues
- Conduct regular updates of WordPress core, plugins, and themes
- Collaborate with the design and content team to convert mockups and ideas into fully functional websites
- Perform site migrations, backups, and restorations as needed
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: FSc or equivalent (BSCS or IT diploma preferred)
- Solid understanding of the WordPress platform, including the loop, custom post types, taxonomies, and template hierarchy
- Ability to work in-house full-time from our office in Chitral
- Understanding of the website development process from concept to deployment
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git is a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg
- Knowledge of website performance optimization (caching, minification, image compression, etc.)
- Experience with domain management, cPanel, FTP, and web hosting setup
- Hands-on experience with WooCommerce for setting up and managing online stores
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript
- Understanding of basic on-page SEO practices and website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console)
- Previous experience is not mandatory; however, candidates with personal or freelance projects will be preferred
- Good communication skills and a proactive learning attitude
